I am such a Company Man.
It may just be that I'm easily swayed, but I cannot wait to get myself an Xbox 360. After growing up with naught but a Mac and a fat, grey Game Boy, the concept of finally owning a gaming console is thrilling.

well, gameboy, pocket gameboy, gameboy color, gamboy SP, gameboy advance SP, and now a DS lite. It has been a steady climb up the handheld Nintendo ladder. ;)

hehe only to get an xbox 360 instead of wii, the logical next step up. although the 360 has wayy better graphics and more games. the wii needs more games! i still <3 it though.

I've "had" a wii for the past year after buying one for my dad, though, so I've used and enjoyed it... But when you work at Microsoft, the wii doesn't quite cut it if you want to keep up with the top tier of new releases.

Got a wii for my dad last year, loved playing it, but still- if I'm to be up to date with the game industry, I'd best get myself on an xbox.

This is why you're such an outstanding artist. You didn't spend your time glued to your TV with a controller in your hands.

Yeeeah, I'm gonna agree. I had more than enough crap distracting me when I was a kid, video games or not, and I think most gaming artists in the industry grew up with games.

I guess I'm going by my own observations of children who have had video games as a key part of their formative years. The ones I know, with very few exceptions, lack the creative spark and inspiration to put pencil to paper.

I will agree that there are some who games have inspired.

I think it's simply a result of parents' and kids' combined ability to ensure a balance. From the age of 11 or 12 I was glued to the internet, but I still had friends, enjoyed hiking, etc. Too much of anything can make a selfish outcast out of a kid, not specifically games. Maybe it's just because I've worked with lifelong gamers for eight years now, but I promise you they can contribute just as much to society. :D

X-Box is pretty spectacular thesedays, but I like the degree of precision and control you get with a Wii, though the graphics are not near the X-Box's.

Hooray!! Xbox is my favourite console, especially now that they're finally coming out with good RPGs in which to disappear for hours on end. *nod*

Also, there are some rare gems in the arcade that have entertained me quite a bit.

HOLY CRAP I KNOW I BOUGHT IT AND MY TV CAME TODAY AND I WAS PLAYING IT IN THE DARK AND AND and HOLY SHIT it is scary as all get out and gorgeous and cinematic and groooosss. Oh man oh man oh man. Just finished writing an e-mail to Nick Jainschigg about it. I mean- shooting reaver-esque citizens of a lost retro-futuristic world whilst Somewhere Across the Sea wafts out of a broken radio and even the guy you're shooting is singing FUCKIN' COLE PORTER??

Come on, now. That's my kind of FPS. It is apparently hell in a handbasket on hard. I will contentedly stick with easy while I get used to the controller.

Opposite end of the spectrum- Viva Piñata? Adorable and also weirdly addicting.

Also, I have been practicing my (mediocre) gaming skills on Star Wars Battlefront...sooo...exciting!

Well, if you need Windows vista or XP Pro, I can get them discounted. I'm loving the Xbox, personally, but that's up to you. :)
