I talked with my 2D teacher
about my final project and grade today, and came out of it a bit befuddled as to how it could have possibly
gone so well. She said that I could expect a ""big fat A" in the class, and that my contributions and growth in the class were exceptional and muchly appreciated. Erm. I mean, yes
, my art has definitely improved/evolved over the past semester, but I'm still quite surprised to see her being so complimentary even after our little tiff over the newspaper... Instead of being pissed off, she ended up fawning over my essay on the current state of the gay rights movement and asking me to make copies of it for the entire class. Hm. Well, I've never been one to hold a grudge, but I'm still going to complain on her evaluation.
In other news, I've actively resisted the bouts of pitiful helplessness that have been washing over me for the past few weeks and I've been (gasp!
) getting things done according to some unspoken schedule. 'Tis nice! I've also stumbled across a previously unheard of well of inspiration, and have been sketching up a storm as a result. I filled up four pages or so with concepts for a mangrove-based Myst age that Annacat, Moi and I had discussed briefly at the aquarium, along with some pretty swell (if I do say so myself) ideas for ceremonial Rivenese costumes and masks based off of wahrks. Squeeeee. If I keep up at this rate, I might consider setting up a presentation at Mysterium of my Myst-related sketchwork and what-have-you.
Yay! Happy Shoomy. :)
